We're thrilled to announce that Set Crafters is now officially ONLINE, bringing together a community of passionate set designers and builders from all walks of life!

Why Set Crafters?

Set Crafters was born from a rapidly growing Facebook Group of set designers and builders.  We wanted a place to host challenges, post tips and tricks etc.  Think of Set Crafters as the companion site to the group.

Whether you're a seasoned professional or an enthusiastic amateur, Set Crafters can be one of your go-to spaces for inspiration, collaboration, and skill-sharing in the world of set design.

What to Expect:

We won't have 100% of this live at the time of this writing, but this is some of what we have planned:

Design Challenges:

Fuel your creativity with themed design challenges. Try something new, showcase your skills, and be part of a collaborative and supportive environment.  I got into these when I learned 3D modeling and they were a critical part of the development of my skills and my portfolio!

Inspiration Galore:

Explore a treasure trove of stunning set designs from our talented community. From theatrical stages to film and television sets, Set Crafters will showcase the artistry that goes into crafting immersive environments.

Expert Tips and Tutorials:

Dive into in-depth tutorials and how-tos, where industry experts and seasoned crafters share their knowledge. Whether you're looking to refine your techniques or discover new ones, Set Crafters will have you covered.

Community Spotlights:

Get to know your fellow Set Crafters! We'll be shining a spotlight on the incredible individuals who make up our community, sharing their stories, projects, and insights.

Store:

We polled the Facebook Group and the result was an overwhelming "yes, we need a store!"  Here you'll find a growing list of books, apparel and all things set design.  Ultimately, the store is meant to help keep the lights on.
